The Rabbit purred a little as he pressed his foot down on the accelerator, speeding in his eagerness to see Bella. Yes, he was that infatuated. No, he was not trying to get his licence revoked- he couldn't help it, he simply couldn't help it. Jake's foot moved down a little more and in response his sometimes-trusty car sputtered and stalled a little. Growling in frustration, he relented slightly, swearing under his breath as the car stopped having seizures. Stupid car. Stupid Jacob. He really shouldn't have been doing this- it was a terrible idea, she had a boyfriend. Now, this wouldn't have stopped any other adolescent with a crush from pursuing their paramour, but Jake was, contrary to all belief, a stickler for honour, and somehow sneaking to a girl's house behind her boyfriend's back seemed a little dishonourable.
Then again, the boyfriend in question was Edward Cullen, and for some reason this seemed to lessen the crime in Jake's eyes. It wasn't that he didn't like Cullen, it was sort of a distaste that he'd never been able to put his finger on, and that only had a little bit to do with the fact that Edward had complete possession of his own crush. Something about him just wasn't right- obviously not physically, of course, seeing as everyone seemed to think that he, and all of the other Cullens, looked like fallen angels, or something, but they seemed to be a shifty family. Always elusive, always going on hunting trips- and they smelled funny. Before he could elaborate more on his thoughts about the odd family, though, he had to slam the brakes on because he'd arrived at the Swan residence without even realizing. That had been close- he'd almost taken out her mailbox, which would have been terrible for his beloved Rabbit.
Closing the car door rather quietly for a boy of his size and awful clumsiness, he traipsed up the path to her door, avoiding with what he thought was considerable skill the crack that always tripped him up on the pavement. He reached her door and knocked swiftly- once, twice, three times, before standing back to wait for her to open it. When she did, a smile lit his face like the sun coming up and he said in a completely garbled voice, "SoBellaIwasjustwonderingifyouwouldlike-" Here he stopped and realized that he was talking faster than any normal person could have, so he swallowed and tried again. "I was just in the neighbourhood- ahaha, kidding, not really. I came here from La Push because I just thought, you know, you might like some company...or something. Mind if I come in?" Without waiting for an answer he worked his way around her (awkwardly because he was getting so tall) and plopped down onto her couch. "So, how've ya been?" He propped his hands up behind his head and regarded her with his sunny smile.

Bella was having a difficult time right about now. Edward was away and she was rather alone in this house. It was a Saturday and it was slightly sunny outside, but she did not want to go outside, she just wanted to stay inside for the day, lay on her bed and read. A sigh escaped her lips as she realized that she was being a fool, why not go outside!? It might not be too warm outside but at least there was some sun. She smiled and pulled on a soft lavender sweater and grabbed a quilt and headed outside. She took a book with her of course and she made it to the door in a few minutes, after nearly falling down the stairs again.
Suddenly there was a knock. She jumped, Edward and his family were gone, her dad would have just knocked, so who in the hell was it? She shook her head and turned toward the door. She sighed and walked to it, opening it and raising her brow. She looked up seeing as she had been staring into a chest. "Uh. Hi." She said with her still raised brow. "What--" She was cut off by his rambling, wow, this boy was amusing. She nodded simply at his banter and shuddered away from his touch when he worked his way indoors. She tilted her head to the side slightly and shook it softly. "When in the hell did you get so tall? You had to of grown at least a foot Jacob Black... What is the deal!?" She asked him, more serious than playful, but still playful enough.
She smiled softly at him as he plopped onto her couch. "Lazy bum." She chuckled and motioned to the quilt in her hand and the book on the kitchen table. "I was about to go outside and read... You can come along if you wish, or you can sit in my horridly tiny - but not as tiny as yours - living room and stare off into oblivion." She said with a bright smile before waving her hand and motioning him to follow her. This was a nice way to spend her day, Jacob was quickly becoming a good friend of hers and she did not mind at all that he was. It was comforting having him around. She walked out into the small lawn and laid down her quilt and then laid on it, looking to Jacob with a content smile. "So, what's up Jakey??" She asked with her smile still in place.
