There was a loud crash as Niko slammed her bedroom door shut. She panted angrily as she threw her suitcases off her double bed and lay on it, her face in the olive green and golden covers. She breathed in the fresh scent from her mother's detergent, with a hint of staleness in them, from the U-Haul. She groaned at sat up, looking around her -bedroom- with a hint of bitterness. Why in the hell did she have to come back here? Her mother had hired painters from Port Angeles to have her room painted like it was in her old house, but it did not make her feel anymore at home. She missed Sacramento.. She missed her friends, her boyfriend, her father's side of the family. She did not even know the people here!
A soft purring noise was heard and she looked down at her bed and realized only now that her small -kitten-, Cleopatra was laying on her bed and looking up at her. She chuckled and rested her hand on the kitten's soft fur. "You are with me aren't you Cleo? You hate it here too right? All this green? Where in the hell is the damn sun?" She sighed and stood, walking to her window and looking out at her backyard. There was a small wooden fence and then nothing but trees, green, green trees. She groaned and closed her dark chocolate curtains before walking over to her bed and unpacking a little more, no matter how much she hated it here, her mother wanted to live here. This was her grandmother's house and it had been refurbished and restored as a La Push landmark...
She sat on her bed and looked around her room again. Her mom's younger sister had moved out of the house a few years after her mom did and never really wanted to live here again. So in the will the house went to Niko's mom. When her father died they moved back here. Niko looked down at her shaking hands as a lump stuck in her throat. Her father... She missed him so much. The door opened and Niko's mom walked in with a glass of water. "You'll like it here." Niko heard her say, but she knew she wouldn't... There was nothing here she would like. Niko remembered batting back at her with a, "If you liked it here so much why did you leave then?!" And walked out of her own room.
She was now outside and wondering why in the hell she had left her room. Her mom should have left. She sighed roughly and looked around. She heard a noise far off that sounded like an older car. She nearly gagged at the thought of company. She looked frantically to the side for her -bike-. It had been her father's and he gave it to her when he got his Harley. She smirked when she found it. She got on and revved it up. She could hear her mother shouting frantically, something about not going out alone... Something about it being dangerous. Niko remembered scoffing before she let loose on the break and headed off in a speeding frenzy out of the driveway, never looking back.
