Seraphina walked along the edge of the river in La Push. It was her second day their already and so far, it was not going well. Of course, the elders of the tribe didn’t mind her staying, but it was the werewolves her age that bothered her. She had hoped that they would get along so she could make friends in La Push, but she realized it would take some time. They had grown up together, all of them, and she just walked right into their lives without warning. She knew that it was a rash decision on her part, but she just wanted to see the place her father loved. Sera hoped in time they all would become friends.
She pulled up the legs of her jeans and rolled them up to her thighs, so as not to get them wet. She had came to the river barefoot. She stepped onto the mound of mud near the river, her toes touching the tips of the water. Sera searched the river for anything dangerous. Seeing nothing of the sort, she stepped into the river and waded slowly along. She sighed and smiled to herself, glad that it was so peaceful here.

The river was where Arya liked to go when she had something on her mind; and what a thing she'd had on her mind that crisp Monday morning. More Female Werewolves. This fact didn't really upset Arya. Not Really. It was good, in a way. She could help them cope with the differences, help guide them even, in a way that the boys couldn't guide her. She supposed she was easier to talk to with some things -she could hardly go to the boys when it came to the mind hearing thing, far too embarrassing- and she was glad to help. But the thing was that it was strange. There weren't meant to be so many werewolves at a time. Weren't meant to be so many female werewolves at a time. Not meant to be any at all.
So why were there? The pack was relatively huge and there were four female werewolves - plus Leah had been shooting up recently, not a good sign. All of the other female werewolves didn't live in La Push until they joined the pack. All these things, these coincidences, kept running around in her head. And then, on top of all this, there were the problems with Jacob that she didn't even want to think about.
So, she had to find someway to settle down, because all of these conflicts were making even her calm wall, her ability to stay calm when the others couldn't, waver. She couldn't let this happen, for the newer wolves sakes. So of course she went to the river. And who should she see but the latest addition, Seraphina Loup. How could she forget that last complication.
The boys were finding it hard to completely trust the girls as much as themselves. Of course, Arya wasn't a problem because she'd been there longer then the other girls, and she'd grown up with the boys. Seraphina, however, wasn't being treated like a pack member so early in. Seraphina was wading in the river, and it was too late for Arya to leave. so she moved closer to the girl. Besides, she felt it her right to help her out.
She started to wade into the river quietly - she shoes weren't a problem, she never wore them anymore, and she never wore anything longer then shorts, even in winter, what with her internal heater system running on high. The water was nice, and cool, but she didn't intend to sneak up on Seraphina, she she softly said before reaching halfway out to here "Hey, mind if I join you?"
