When it came to the Cullens, baseball was the most loved sport for them. But it was different compared to how humans play baseball, in a way. Sure it was pretty much the same, but there were a fair few differences that humans wouldn't be able to match up to. But that's what happens with vampires. Their rules are always different. And there was no way on earth that humans would be able to play baseball vamp way ... but that would be the day if they did. But enough about baseball, there wasn't a game on today.
Alice Cullen, the smallest member of the Cullen family was an expert at baseball. But she had cheats, they all did ... in a way. They were all extremely fast, so they could get the ball a lot faster than in normal baseball. Alice was lucky. She saw the future. So that was an excellent bonus for her. That was a lot of added fun.
Nope. Alice was just casually sitting on the grass in the open field where her family did play baseball. There was no game on today, some were busy ... and you need the whole family to play baseball, otherwise it's not as fun. Carlise was working at the hospital. Emmett and Edward had taken this opportunity to go hunting, Jasper tagging along with them. As for Esme and Rosalie? Well, like mentioned before ... you need the whole family to play. It was just fun that way.

Sparkling angel I believe You were my savior in my time of need. Blinded by faith I couldn't hear All the whispers, the warnings so clear. It was nice today, a soft hue was to the sky, though it was not sunny - nor was it as rainy as it usually was, it was just, there. Bella looked out her window as she thought about something to do today. Edward was gone with Jasper and Emmett and Bella did not quite feel comfortable with going over to the Cullen's to see if Alice was there. Bella shrugged on her coat and headed down the stairs. She grabbed her keys and walked out to her baby before hopping in it and revving it up. She twiddled her thumbs for a moment before settling on some driving.
She made her way though Forks, she neared the old cemetery and she saw the small trail which lead to the meadow that Edward and his family played 'baseball'. She shuddered softly as she thought about the first time she had ever seen the meadow and what happened. Now there was a psycho on the lose looking for her and she was out driving alone, brilliant. Bella sighed and parked her truck to the side of the road. She got out and slid her hands roughly into her coat pockets before walking through the trail. "What am I doing?" She asked herself.
It took her nearly twenty minutes to get to the field, give or take a few minutes because she fell halfway there. She looked back to see what she had tripped over and realized it was a vine. She had sat there and poked at it for a few seconds thinking about her clumsiness and how pathetic it was, before dusting herself off and taking her time through the rest of the way. It really was easier when Edward carried her. Then again she was always slightly mentally scarred from the sheer speed. She made it to the meadow and realized moments later that someone was here.
At first she thought it was someone who might be watching for her, like one of James' little friends, she tensed and was about to run off when she realized two things. One, she was slow and clumsy, she would be dead in less than thirty seconds, and two, it was Alice. Bella smiled softly and made her way to her. She knew Alice likely figured it was her a few moments before, or that she was actually waiting here for her. Alice had a way of seeing things, it made life a little more interesting being around her. Bella loved spending time with Alice, it was almost like Alice was her best friend, almost? Nah, she was her best friend. "Hey." She said softly, sitting next to her.

So was there any particular reason that Alice was sitting in the field by herself ... just randomly? Suddenly? Of course there was. She wouldn't be here other than the reason of baseball, let alone sitting here by herself. She was waiting for someone. Someone that knew about this place, who hung around here, and also, who wasn't cautious enough to stay in one place for the day while everyone was occupied and had someone after them. That was what had Alice sitting on the grass by herself, waiting.
Bella Swan was that very person. The exact person who wouldn't just stay at home for the day while Edward, Emmett and Jasper were hunting. The exact person who wouldn't stay safe and not fall over vines while Carlisle was working in the hospital. The exact person that knew that Alice would be watching her, presently and future wise, but decide to go off and do something. To some, like Emmett, it was fun to have someone so klutzy and all ... but for some, like Edward, were too busy spending time worrying.
But at the moment, Alice wasn't fully worried. If something bad was going to happen, she would have intercepted or something, but nothing had ... therefore the field was where she waited. Plus, she would of been keeping eyes out on Bella during that time, ready to intercept if needed be.
Alice sat quietly and so still, she was almost a statue, as she waited for Bella to arrive. As Alice heard Bella's footsteps coming closer, and felt that Bella had sat down beside her, she opened her eyes and looked at her. She smiled. Bella was her best friend. And being best friends between a vampire and a human seems pretty unrealistic, but it's happened. "Typical. You're exactly the type of person to trip over a vine." she teased, feeling like she was starting to act like Emmett. She had a smirk on her face. Now that she had an excuse to hang with Bella, there was something she needed to discuss with her.

Falling and crawling A fight to stand up Memory still haunts me In the dead of night
Bella did not know what her life would be like if she had not met the Cullen's, or come to Forks. She knew her life would be normal-er, that she would likely not be as happy, but her very existence would not be tempting fate either. Bella closed her eyes and allowed a silent smile to slide along her face as her eyes slid closed. She nodded her head down softly, if her eyes had been open she would have been looking at the ground, but they weren't. She inhaled deeply, something none of the Cullen's could do.
She took in the scent of the wind, it was soft and cool, almost salty. She could smell the grass, it was crisp and fresh, the dirt beneath it was rough and gritty, Alice's natural scent was almost intoxicating. It was a soft mix of perfume and citrus, or was it more fruity? She could not tell, but she knew that it was a smell that Bella had come to love about Alice, the scent was calming to her and that was good. When Jasper was around Bella would be forced to be calm, but with Alice, it was of her own free will. Though at times she would like the calming sensation that came with Jasper.
Bella chuckled softly, there was a hint of Emmett in Alice's voice. Bella could not help it. "Sorry Emmett... But you know me." She opened her eyes and turned her head to Alice. Bella's hands were resting in the grass softly though they were both slightly gripping the blades. Something was on Bella's mind and knowing Alice she already knew what it was. This of course did not make it any easier for Bella to tell her. Bella's hair slid softly off her shoulder as she looked at her friend, her head tilted to the side just a little with her position. Her smile soft and endearing. Alice was a wonderful person, to think people might have once called her a monster. She was no monster.

For everyone, what happened in the future came as a surprise. And when that came, some hated it, some loved it. The future was always something they wished they had an idea of, but never really knowing the result. Of course, when you were close to someone like Alice Cullen, that was the sort of thing that you didn't need to think about. With Alice, there was no surprises about the future ... well ... in a way. You always knew what was going to happen, even if whoever it was about changed their minds. Alice's sight seeing wasn't like what you read in books, it was more on the matter of people decisions and choices. So it's like Alice is seeing the choices and decisions others make.
Bella was the only human to know about the Cullens life. Another reason was Alice to admire her. Her reaction was taken so well that it didn't bother Alice, though she knew the result anyway. It was also good to be really close with someone outside of the family, though Bella was almost family. But it was still good to not only have to be friends with the ones you've known for so many years.
Alice looked at Bella, her eye brows raised up at Bella's comment. A huge smile formed across her face. "Ok, remind me to tell Emmett he's a graceful ballerina. Alright?" she said, laughing. She could just picture Emmett being a 'graceful ballerina'. He was the tough teddy bear, so it was a funny picture to imagine. Alice looked at Bella's face, as if trying to see trough her. She gave a breathless sigh. "Aren't you glad Edward can't read you're mind?" she said. It was a half question. So now she had brought up the subject of Edward ... which lead to Bella, which was what Alice wanted to talk about. Edward and Bella. She slowly took her time getting to it though.

Ready, set, go it's time to run The sky is changing we are warned Together we can make it while the world is crashing down Don't you turn around
Bella suddenly had a bit of a headache. It proved that she had indeed been thinking too hard on the drive over. This was not good, it would only serve to make it harder for her to stop thinking about everything now that she was being caused a little pain from it. She breathed deeply, there was wetness in the air, it made Bella a little calmer. She closed her eyes and turned her head away from Alice and to the ground again as she inhaled the sweet scent of the coming rain. "It's going to rain soon..." She whispered, though Alice likely knew this already.
Bella chuckled and looked up at the sky, her eyes sliding open and her long brunette hair sliding down her back softly as she looked up at the metallic gray sky. "I'll make sure to remind you and be there when you say it. Might bring my camera to document his reaction, it'll be hilarious to look at later." She said as she looked back down at the ground and shook her head, chuckling a little more before deciding she wanted her hair up. She grabbed a hair tie and slid her hands through her hair before pulling it all back into a pony tail. She then sighed softly.
She looked to Alice immediately and looked at her silently for a moment. It was not so much a question as a statement that Alice had made. Bella swallowed softly, Alice knew about her reaction before Bella even did, likely why she smoothed out the wrinkles a little with how she put it. After a moment or so of these thoughts she nodded softly. "Yeah." She said simply. "It makes it easier for my to silently go mad if he is not looking in and trying to make me sane." She said simply, a hint of tease was in her voice, but not enough to mask the fact that Bella was a little serious.

Alice was a very patient girl, at times. At this time, this moment, she was very patient and calm and sat silently as Bella took the air around her, breathing. That was something Alice hadn't been able to do in a very long time. It had definitely been quite a while, far before Bella was even born. But there was no excuse to just look like she was breathing, just for the hell of it. She then smiled as Bella noted the scent from the rain. Even though Alice couldn't breathe, she still had her senses of scent. "Indeed it is." she said, nodding.
She smiled. "Alright, next time we're all together and you have your camera with you." she said. It was definitely a plan for when they next saw Emmett. Of course, Bella had to be there, that's what she wanted. She looked up at the sky as Bella tied her hair up. The sky was dark, almost like it was night time ... just not quite. She then looked at Bella, just moments before Bella had looked at her. She gave a small smile while Bella was silent, obviously to her next reply. When Bella replied, the smile shrunk down. "So while you silently mad, he's desperately wondering what's going on. Makes sense." she said, the same teasing-serious tone that Bella ha given her. Ok, she was going to get straight into it.
[ ooc ;; mental blank. what is the edward/bella talk discussing again?!?! i can't remember! ]

Alice looked around the field and smiled at Bella's comment. She then looked down, her face emotionless as she sat perfectly still. Bella's question gave an answer that was difficult to explain, yet simple at the same time. She sat quietly for a moment, letting the time pass by before she answered Bella's question. Without looking at Bella, she spoke. "Bella, what would you reckon if you had no idea about who we were and we stayed here forever? Without aging, without dying ... all while the rest of the people here were growing older, living, dying. We'd have to leave eventually. Carlisle can't keep covering the fact that he looks so 'young', especially since he's not aging physically. We'd move somewhere where we could start fresh." she said, her eyes still facing down.
Looking at Bella she smiled. "Good idea." she laughed. "Don't worry. Emmett will be there. You'll get your memories." she said. She didn't smile for long. They were starting to get deep into the conversation of Edward now, or going to at least. So she had to say it sooner or later. Her eyes darted to the grey sky for a moment before looking back at Bella. Edward had a strong connection with Bella, or it would develop into it. She looked at Bella. "Ok Bella. We really have to discuss you ... and Edward." she said, pausing for a moment before adding 'and Edward'. She looked at her, silently for a moment before getting ready to continue.

There are thoughts running wild in my mind. There are feelings running rampage in my heart. There are fears tearing at my soul. Everything is happening and I have no control. I will let go and let myself fall. Hopefully he'll catch me... My Angel.
Bella did not look back to Alice when she started talking. She knew this was a soar subject, thinking about leaving Forks and the people they had become close to. Well, the person. Bella had only known Alice for a few weeks or so, but already they were close, closer than Bella thought she would be with a sister if she had one. In many ways Alice was a lot like a sister to Bella and Bella was a friend to Alice. Something Alice did not really have before. She had a family and that was really it, but now she had Bella. Someone she could confide in that was not family, that she did not spend every moment with - even though it was growing to close to it. Bella let out a soft sigh before inhaling deeply.
Bella closed her eyes and reached her hand out slowly to grasp Alice's. "If I did not know what you were I would not know how close we would be. Ever since the accident when Edward saved me I had suspected something was different about him, and your entire family. I would have always been suspicious and I would have eventually found out." She still did not look at her but Bella still held Alice's hand gently. "I do not want to think about what sort of life I would have if I had not moved here and not met you and your family. I do not want to think about being without you... I do not want to think about what my life would be, without Edward." She opened her eyes and looked down at the grass in silence for a moment.
Bella looked to Alice and smiled softly. "Yeah." She said calmly. Alice would know Emmett would be there wouldn't she. Bella chuckled. Bella looked up at the sky when Alice did and then back down at the grass when Alice talked about discussing her. Moments later she finished her statement and Bella turned to look at her, her eyes slightly wide. She inhaled deeply and nodded softly. "I suppose then... We do." She said quietly. Talking about Edward was always something interesting. Talking about her was something Bella did not like doing. Talking about them together... That was a little complicated. Edward and Bella, Bella and Edward. Vampire and Human, Human and Vampire. Nothing gets more complicated with you slide the word 'love' in the mix.
[[ ooc;; take your time. lol. i was just telling you where we were like you asked. xD ]]

Alice only had one true friend, that wasn't her family. But with the relationships between Bella and her family members, she was so very close to that role, though she would still always be her one true friend. Alice had only known Bella for a few weeks ... and was the first, excluding Edward, to be content with the fact that Bella was hanging around a bunch of vampires ... and knew about them and was cool with it all. It was all good, to Alice. But she saw it coming, in a way. It never really came as a shock to her at all. But it had for others.
Alice looked at Bella as she reached for her hand. She listened to her, her icy hands held in Bella's. She looked down at their hands. She sighed as she took in every word Bella said. She could imagine Edward's expression if Bella had told him that. She closed her eyes, keeping her head facing towards their hands. "But it would indeed be very different than it is. There wouldn't be any sort of trouble that our kind could expose to you." she said softly, her voice a mere whisper. She slowly opened her eyes and looked up at Bella, her inhuman breathing slow.
As Alice had mentioned they were to discuss both Bella and Edward, she looked at Bella, to try to understand what Bella's reaction was going to be. Before she replied she tried to understand what sort of reaction Bella gave. As she nodded, Alice closed her eyes for a few seconds. Well now it came up, time to start. But at the moment, Alice wanted to keep it sane, and as easily as she could ... without giving too much away and have Bella completely understanding her. Here is goes she thought to herself.
She sighed before starting. "Ok well ... i've noticed, both now and future wise, that you and Edward are ... how can i say it ... connecting well ... If that's a good enough way to explain it. Firstly, the relationship you two have ... where do you think it's at and where it's going?" she asked. That was the best place she thought she could start. Of course, she knew the answer before it left Bella's lips, but she wanted to take it slow, carefully constructing how she could explain without giving too much out. She'd been doing that a few times lately.

Bella and Edward. Edward and Bella. Human and Vampire. Vampire and Human. Bella loves Edward. Edward loves Bella? Human loves Vampire. Vampire loves Human? Star-Crossed.
Bella watched Alice watching their hands and she nodded softly, she could tell that Alice was listening intently and she knew that Alice wanted what was best for her, Bella knew that. She nodded softly. "Alice, I am a danger magnet, if it was not for your kind I would not be alive right now, remember that." She closed her eyes and swallowed softly and looked to Alice, gaging how she looked. There was something Alice was keeping from her, she could tell in her eyes. Bella might not have the perceptiveness of a vampire but she was not blind.
Bella sighed and ran her free hand through her hair. "You are keeping something from me Alice." Bella said simply. "I know you too well to know when you give that look you are trying not to talk about something that you have been told not to talk about." She looked back to Alice and smiled softly. "You can tell me... If it is something about my future I would really like to know, if it is something about Edward you know I want to know... He is--" She stopped and breathed deeply, keeping herself from saying what she wanted. That he was everything to her.
Bella's lips quivered, what was Alice getting at, what did she see for them? Bella closed her eyes and sighed. "I don't know Alice." She whispered. She looked to the side for a moment. "There are things that I feel that I can not explain and there are things that I wish to say that I can't." She breathed deeply, inhaling the cool air. "Where it is going and where I want it to go are likely two different things in reality Alice, you know that as much as I do." She said simply as she looked to her. "Lets walk." She said, she needed to get up, she was itching to just run and never come back, but two things were stopping her, the fact she would fall, a lot and the fact that she could never leave without Edward.
Bella sighed as she stood with Alice's hand still softly resting in hers as they walked slowly down the hill. "I know you can tell what I will say, I know you have likely realized that I have been thinking a lot about Edward and my decisions are clear. I know that because I know you and I know what you can see. You see what my future is like at times and you see what I'll do if I keep on this path." Bella was not looking at Alice but down at the grass. "This will not come as much as a shock to you as it did to me Alice, but I think I am in love with Edward." Bella closed her eyes tightly.

Alice looked up at Bella, a half smile/half smirk formed on her face. "You didn't exactly describe yourself as that type of danger magnet until Edward told you though." she said simply. The sort of danger Bella was in before she met Alice and her family ... was the type of danger that didn't involve vampires trying to kill her, or hanging around a family of vampires for that matter. But it was just like Bella to go find herself even more trouble than what she already could manage. Alice didn't mind though. It came a good result for them in the end.
Alice avoided eye contact with Bella, knowing she was looking at her. They'd been friends long enough for Bella to see through her well acted hidden secrets ... well, obviously not no well acted now. There was more for Alice to tell Bella, than just Bella and Edward. But Edward had bribed her shut. She would keep her word, as long as she could so she was going to do her best and just stay with her original talk. She looked at her. "As much as i would want to talk to you about it, Edward would bite my head off if i said anything. Bribery like this feels like such a crime." she said, adding the last bit a tiny bit more quieter than the first sentence. Alice looked at Bella. "I knew you were going to find out about it sooner or later. I warned him. But i'm going to mute after his threat. If you really want to know what's been on my mind ..." she paused, sighing. "You'll have to talk to Edward. He'll be furious with me." she said, falling silent.
Her tiny body sitting still on the grass, Alice had her eyes closed. She slowly nodded as she listened to Bella. She understood. Her eyes then flicked open and she turned to Bella. She was standing up within seconds, their hands not letting go. As they walked, Alice continued to listen. Her eyes looked ahead as they walked, but she listened so carefully, remembering every word that left Bella's lips. When Bella had said that one word, Alice's eyes focused on her. "Bella, what you have to understand is that our emotions, white somewhat the same as humans, can also be very different and a lot more complicated. I suppose Edward should be the one to tell you this ... but he seems a little slow with this. But i will let him explain it ... i'll just tell you that Edward's feelings for you are strong and unbreakable. The reason he's so much more ... alive is because of you. Do you understand what i'm trying to explain exactly?" she asked.
