Everyone hears stories about how the cemetery is the perfect place for creatures like wolves, vampires, ghosts and all that. A lot of people avoid cemeteries at night and if they visit them, it's during the day and not alone. But those are humans. And silly stories. The cemetery is as normal as anywhere else in a town ... except in Forks. Forks is the one place where the cemetery stories should be thoroughly understood. Especially with vampires in Forks. Of course, with vampires likes the Cullens it's not really that bad, seeing as they're "vegetarians". But it still wasn't safe, after all, what if they were thirsty?
Alice Cullen. A tiny, "young" girl who just happened to be a vampire. People would never consider her to be the type. That is unless people knew about vampires and their perfect features ... and all that made them a vampire. Also her speed would be a dead give away, that is if anyone even noticed.
Apart from Alice being a vampire, she would probably be one of the last people you'd ever think to hang around a cemetery. But that's what she was doing. And as strange as it may seem, there's been stranger. But the question was why was she hanging around an old, dark, creepy cemetery ... and at night? Well, good question. The answer was that there really was no reason. She hadn't seen anyone coming here. She hadn't seen anything happening here. She was just here. The cemetery was somewhere she hung around at night, seeing as vampires don't sleep. She had to spend her time somewhere? And going to the same places over and over again was getting boring and irritating.
She sat on an unused tombstone, staring at her hands. Apart from her left leg hanging loosely beside the stone kicking the air she looked like a statue ... as usual. She was as still as ever, apart from her leg, as she sat in the full moon lit graveyard. Breathing was something that vampires couldn't do, but just did it so they looked human and no one would suspect anything. Alice gave a breathless sigh as she pushed her back against a large stone.

If only your emotions could cure me. Cure me from the weakness of my humanity. Only if I was human, things would be aliright. Cemeteries were rumored to be places where the dead rises and walks amongst the living. A place where no human would want to visit alone. Yet, even visiting there at night. That was the difference between the humans of Forks and the inhumans. Yes, they exist and they can be quite dangerous when aroused or in thirst. But, who knew that there were vampires in Forks. Was someone going to believe the human girl, Bella Swan, who found out the secret of the Cullens and Hales. That was highly doubtful. So, why a cemetery?
Only ask Jasper Hale. A tall, lean, and quite handsome guy who was very caught up with himself. If only they knew his secret, the secret of being one of the "inhumans" of Forks. A vampire. A vampire with strong emotions.
So, why was Jasper in the cemetery at night? Could it be because his true love was sitting alone next to the grave of Aggie Cosworth, a woman who died in the 1920s? He loved Alice, and protecting her was his job even though she was capable of protecting herself. Jasper didn't know what he would do without Alice, she had given him hope to a better life. A life for a vampire. Or was he there in the cemetery to relax? It was peaceful to him, and nothing can about beat the chance to calm down the aroused nerves in his stone-like body. Plus, Jasper couldn't sleep, he had to do thing in his spare time.
He leaned against the tree directly diagonal to the position Alice was in, and watched her cautiously. With a foot on the tree trunk and his broad arms crossed over his chest, he looked like one of those fancy Roman statues you see in the parks of Italy. A small grin pulled at his lips and he stepped into the moonlight, walking towards Alice. He shoved his large hands inside his jean pockets and walked gracefully towards her.
"Haven't you heard, you shouldn't be here at a cemetery at night. Bad things could happen. What brings you here, my love? " he spoke softly, as he stopped twenty feet away from behind her. Jasper never thought he needed to actually say "my love" to Alice, she already knew that he loved her. But, one time wouldn't hurt. They had a very private kind of relationship, and he would only show the love he had for her when they were alone. Who wanted gossip?

For a girl to spend a lot of time by themselves, some people would reckon something was wrong with them ... like something tragic had happened in their lives. That or they just didn't like the crowded times. But then again, Alice was no ordinary girl. Not even human for that matter. But she existed on Earth, just like anyone else. That's all that really mattered. She just happened to be a vampire and a sight seer. Something that wasn't common in Forks ... well the sight seeing at least. And the sight seeing came in handy ... but was both good and bad.
But Alice wasn't alone in the cemetery, she knew that earlier. It wasn't hard for her to realise things. They rarely came as a surprise, if even rarely. She smiled at the thought of who was around with her. Jasper Hale. Jasper was her one and only love, her other half. He was the one she cared most about and felt like nothing was worth anything without him.
While Jasper leaned against a tree, Alice looked over in his direction, knowing exactly where he was. She stared into the darkness until he stepped out into the moonlight. As he walked towards Alice, a smile grew on her face as she just stared at him. Typical that someone so breath-taking wasn't human. The choice of words 'breath-taking' came as a joke to Alice, seeing as she couldn't breathe. So her excuse was that he already had taken it. Otherwise she used other terms. But any girl could look at him and have that strange breathless feeling. Alice was lucky ... and very happy.
She smirked at his comment about the cemetery. Of course she knew he'd say that. But instead of answering before he spoke, she let him say it, listening to his voice. "I must have gone death whenever the topic came up." she replied, smiling as warmly as a vampire could. The relationship between Alice and Jasper was a lot different when they were alone compared to when they were with others. Some people would never consider them as more than family.

You smiled and rushed over to me quickly. I thought my life was miserable and not worthy enough. That was, until I met you. You had given me hope, light, and a new life. Jasper walked carefully and yet gracefully around the graves, respecting the dead. Something he should have been a century ago. It wasn’t fair that he would get to live on in the world, watching family and friends grow up. It wasn’t right. But, there was nothing he could do, he didn’t want to kill himself because of that. Being a vampire had its advantages, such as living for a long time, speed, the manipulations, and the beauty. But, it did have its disadvantages. Jasper would love to have tried to sleep again. That would have been nice, but he couldn’t get everything. He already had the perfect girl; Alice.
He stopped in front of Alice, and ran his massive hand in his golden locks. It didn’t surprise him that Alice wasn’t shocked that he was here watching her. She did have the ability to see in the future. Jasper stood there with his feet a foot apart and his arms folded over his chest. He looked like a god, or better yet a god like statue staring down at her. A smirk was tugging at the corner of his lips and it his pale cheek bones began to lift. The creases on his forehead was now showing and it looked like someone had carved them on his handsom face.
Alice had won his heart that day in Philadelphia. Well, whatever heart he had. He would do anything for her, it was just his way of showing his love for her. He looked to the left to see rows and rows of graves. “I will never be able to surprise you, Alice. Not even with a trip to the shopping mall, a trip to another country, nowhere. But, I love it because either way you would act surprise as it is,” he said, turning back to face her. His eyes were topaz and he felt loving today. He was calm, and yet he was with the one he loved the most. His other half.
He walked over towards her on the tombstone, smiling at the fact that her feet were not able to touch the ground. Again a plus for him, his height was remarkable compared to hers. She pratically needed to jump into his arms to give him a peck on the cheek. Jasper leaned against the same tombstone and pecked her cheek instead of her doing it to him. “Well, that would be the first time you did something like that. I must say, you sure don’t follow the rules for anything. You cheat. My little cheater. So, what are you doing here?” he questioned, with a small chuckle escaping from inside. He threw his arm around the edge of the tombstone and looked down at the dirt.

Normally, people love surprises or they loved to be surprised over certain things. Whether big or small there was always a way to surprise someone. With Alice, however, it was very difficult. She had the advantage. The only way you'd be able to surprise her was if you had made that decision in a split second before you do it. That way you'd be lucky to surprise her. But that was still very difficult to do, so no one ever did it really.
Jasper stopped in front of Alice, who was still looking at him ... into his eyes. Eyes were always a weakness when it came to love. If they weren't ... then the couple would never see the true self of their partner. But there was more to Jasper than his eyes that Alice loved. But that would be a lot to explain for her. So in one word: everything. She loved everything about Jasper, that was the simplest way to explain it.
She looked at him, a big smile on her face as her eyes shone in the moonlight. Her smile opened and widened, showing her white teeth. "You can still attempt to. I promise i'll act more surprised than anybody else ever could." she said, grinning. Act. That was something she could do. Something she'd been doing for a very long time. After all, what point of trying to keep the fact that you're a vampire if you can't even act like you're not. The whole acting thing made her think about how poor Bella's acting was.
She looked up at him. There was definitely height difference between them. But with Alice, size was no disadvantage for anything. Her eyes closed for the moment when she felt his lips on her pure skin. She looked at him as he spoke. She gave a soft laugh. "I'm not the only one that cheats with things." she teased, looking directly at him. Of course, all of them cheating with something. That was an advantage of being a vampire.
"I'm here because i needed a change in scenery at night. Seeing as we can't sleep, i've got to keep myself occupied with doing anything. Seeing as it's a full moon, i felt the need for this place for some reason." she said, smiling.
