You seen me appear from the corner, depressed. I wasn't the one you happened to love that came. But, I am a friend. A friend who wants to show you that I do care. [/color] Awaiting in a place full of danger lurking around. A place where vampire craving wolves roamed the areas, protecting their lands. Foul, disgusting, bad-breath, drooling mongrels; creatures that humans would consider to be like dogs. Better yet, puppies. The night sky was brightened by the full moon present in that enormous pool of blackness. Misty rain was falling all around, creating an eerie setting as he awaited in the clearing before the La Push Reservation or Dog Central. He was...
Jasper Hale. The tall, "emotion-feeling" vampire was awaiting for the return of a very special girl. A girl that his brother, Edward Cullen, would never allow Jasper to be near; alone. He was tired of feeling like the weakest link, being considered the newbie to this way of life. Wasn't Alice like that too? But, he killed innocent humans viciously in Texas and Mexico, something he couldn't dream Alice of doing. Dreaming wasn't the word to use, since he can't sleep.
He awaited patiently for Bella Swan to appear in the "Rabbit" owned by a son of an elder werewolf, Jacob Black. (Better yet, a werewolf himself) The mist had slowly built up in droplets on the Black Mercede's tinted windows. He was inside of the car waiting quitely, and not making any sudden movements. It was awkward to be waiting for Bella, but he was honored that Edward allowed him to do this. He knew the real reason why though. Edward, Esme, Alice, and Carlisle were out hunting for the weekend. Emmett and Rosalie were on another honeymoon, which happened to be the third one in four months. The car engine was humming quietly, and one of Edward's classical cds were playing softly. The song that played was the song Esme enjoyed. He shut his eyes, and let out a breathless sigh.
A loud car had pulled forward towards the clearing, and Jasper didn't need to move to know that it was Bella and Jacob. He sensed it. He wouldn't be surprised that Bella would be disappointed that Edward didn't pick her up. The bright lights from the car had shown into the tinted windows and he watched as the passenger door opened. Would Bella approve of Jasper being the one picking her up or was she going to go back with Jacob? He didn't know what to expect, but he lightly lifted his door's handle and opened the door, without stepping out of the Mercedes.

Such heroes, throwing stones Straight at the one who is standing alone Twisting and turning, it's always the same Truth is never honest when you're to blame
Bella was leaned way back in Jacob's car. She had her eyes closed and she did not look happy. Jacob was proving to be rather stressing at this moment in time and she desperately needed to get away from him. Bella groaned when he pulled into the driveway and commented about a leech waiting for her. "I swear to God Jacob... You call them than one more time and I'll never speak to you again." She said without opening her eyes, suddenly the car had stopped and Jacob's eyes were on her, she could feel the heat. She could tell he was not happy with her, but right now she did not really care, right now she really wanted to get away from him and go home, or to the Cullen's, or to hell. Wherever, just to get away.
Bella opened her eyes and looked at him. "Thanks, I'll see you later." She said simply and got out of the car. She heard him call for her and she turned. "What?!" He said nothing and she rolled her eyes before walking toward the Mercedes. She blinked for a moment. That was not Edward. She thought for a moment and remembered Edward saying something about hunting, the person in the car was Jasper. Bella swallowed - oh dear. She licked her lips softly as she made her way to the car, his door was opened. "Hey Jasper." She said softly.
She opened her door and looked in at him smiling softly. "Glad to see you." She slid into the car slowly and sat down, buckling up. It was odd that Edward would let Jasper come and get her but she was not worried, she had not open wounds and she was in a car, unless they got into a crash she should be alright with him. She looked out the window at Jacob, he was still sitting in his car. She sighed roughly and looked down, twiddling her thumbs. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. She needed to calm down, the things that Jacob had said should not matter to her.
She looked to Jasper and smiled weakly. "So, where to?" She asked him softly. She was a little shook up from Jacob, a little nervous from Jasper and a little worried, well... She always was now, there was no one pinpointed reason for her worry. She looked at her hands, they were shaking slightly. d**n him. She thought to herself, thinking about Jacob. Right about now - as she looked down at her shaky hands - she was thankful it was Jasper and not Edward. Edward would have gone mad trying to figure out what was in her head and right now, she didn't need that right now...

Passage of time has shown no compassion; Haunted by past and present, she is hurt. Her insides ripped apart by promises of quiet. Tell me. What is to become of this human? Jasper watched carefully as Bella walked towards the car and opened her own door. How rude of me? I should have opened her door. he thought to himself, before reaching out to grab his door that was opened. Something was bothering her and he didn't need to feel it, but he could see it on her face. Jasper stared directly at the window, looking straight at Jacob. He wasn't going to leave until he did, and he knew they weren't alone. Not only were the emotions of Bella seeping through him, but there was Jacob's, and his two friends Embry and Quil. They had followed him. Jasper's jaw was tense and he looked like a statue in complete distraught. "Hello, Bella. I hope Edward told you that I would be the one picking you up." he mumbled out softly, eyeing Jacob Black. He watched as the werewolf drove away, he buckled his seatbelt and began to turn around the car.
He drove in the darkness heading back to the main high way that lead back to Forks, Washington. He glanced over at Bella and felt her agonizing pain. Carefully, he tried to carress her mind and emotions with his special ability. The ability to calm down people. He could manipulate people, but it he knew that it was wrong and decieving. Jasper wanted to live a sort-of normal life. "If you don't mind me asking, what did he do to you? You seem very tense, Bella," he spoke in a soft voice, as he turned onto the highway. He picked up speed - going almost 100 - and looked over at Bella with a small grin. He knew his little manipulation to Bella's emotions had worked for her hands were not trembling as much as they had been.
Without realizing it, he had turned the wrong direction and was heading towards Port Angeles. Great, what the heck am I doing? he thought and gave a quiet sigh. "Where would you like to go? Edward and Alice won't be home until the morning, so if you would like me to drop you off at your house I can. I will just have to turn around. I turned towards Port Angeles. But, have you had dinner? I don't want Chief Swan to think that your friend didn't feed you. Don't worry, I won't make you try on a bunch of silly dresses," Jasper chuckled out. He never really laughed in front of Bella, it wasn't like him. But, she happened to bring out the human in him more. It wasn't everyday he happened to have a human girl come to his family's house. Just the thought of him acting like Alice was kind of scary, but he would never have the same fashion taste has his love.
Finally, he saw after 4 minutes the sign saying "Welcome to Port Angeles" and he was debating if he should turn around and take Bella home.

Sweet darling you worry too much, my child See the sadness in your eyes You are not alone in life Although you might think that you are
Bella shook her head softly. "No." She whispered. "He didn't, but it is alright, I have no issue with you picking me up." She said, a slight smile glinting onto her lips as she continued to look down at her hands. The sound of Jasper's seat belt clicking made Bella realize she had not put hers on. She turned to the side slightly and buckled her seat belt before leaning back in the seat, her eyes sliding closed softly as she tried to calm herself down. She heard Jacob drive off and she winced softly. Why did there have to be issue between them all?
Moments after Jasper began to drive Bella started feeling calmer. She could not help but smile at this, Jasper was trying to calm her. She made a mental note to thank him later. When he asked what he did she sighed. "He was just being himself." She said softly, she then nodded slightly. "I am tense, because of him being himself." She sighed softly. "He just does not trust your family and he is almost positive I am falling in love with Edward." She chuckled softly, more to the fact that Jacob was very nearly right than the hilarity of him thinking something like that. Though is was likely that Jasper could tell she was falling for Edward, everyone likely could.
She shrugged softly. "I really don't care." She whispered softly as she opened her eyes and looked toward the road. They were heading toward Port Angeles. She was glad she was not going home, her dad would drill her on what Jacob and her talked about. Bella was not in the mood to be bombarded with questions. "Something to eat would be nice, Jacob and I were going to eat but I was not hungry when we went." She said simply. It was true, her appetite was lost moments after a conversation with Jacob. Which ruined the entire evening.
With the comment on dresses Bella made a fake gagging noise. She looked over and smiled at Jasper's chuckle. This was the first time she had ever seen him laugh, or smile even. "Maybe we should hang out more often." She teased. "You seem to be happier." She winked softly before turning back and looking at the sign to Port Angeles. She was breathing a lot easier now that Jasper had assisted her, maybe if they sat down and talked over food Bella could get to know Jasper a little better, that and she could process everything that was said between her and Jacob.

Your eyes are warm with hope and love. They are stronger than light from the world above. They sparkle, they shine. Some day, everything will be fine. Jasper nodded at her as he passed the sign welcoming them to Port Angeles. He was glad Bella didn't mind, that he was driving her. If only she knew that he could kill her instantly compared to Edward and Alice. He wasn't completely adapted to this new way of life. But, he needed to try. "Yeah, he probably wouldn't have told you that I was picking you up. But, He probably told you where he was going this weekend. At least I think. Especially with you know who running around, I think it is better if you were with one of us. I probably wasn't on the top of the list, but everyone is out and about," he said with a not-as-dazzling-smile like Edward's.
He growled softly deep inside, when she told him what Jacob's problem was. It bothered him the fact that Jacob tells Bella that he pretty much doesn't want her to hang out with his family. So, what if they were a bunch of vampires... look at what he will become; a smelly dog. But, Bella didn't know that. "People are always judgemental, Bella. It's better if you do what makes you feel more comfortable. This, Jacob kid, is just disappointed that you don't spend much time with him as you do with us. Don't let some guy tell you who you can or cannot hang out with. This is America," he spoke sincerely to her, trying to get the message across that Jacob is just jealous. He smiled at the thought of her and Edward together. It means he wouldn't be lonely anymore. "It's kinda obvious though, you know," he said chuckling again.
Even though he never eats human food, he decided to take her to a small restraunt in Port Angeles; La Bella Italia. She already been here once- thanks to Alice telling him- and he would pay for her food. It wasn't like they were on a date, it was just mere friends. Anyways, he was already married and has been for almost sixty years. He parked the Mercedes in a spot, unbuckling his seat belt. Jasper opened his door and walked around to get hers as well. The bad part about being out alone with Bella is the fact a few of her friends might see her and think she had hooked up with him. He laughed at her facial expression when he brought up the shopping comment. "You think that is bad, you should have seen the day Alice tried to get me into a pink frilly shirt. I would do anything for her, anything but wear that. So, I made her dress up Edward and Emmett," he chuckled again, remembering that day. It was a sight to see, especially watching Emmett prance around and Edward mumbling uncouthly words.
He smiled at her suggestion about hanging out more. Jasper liked the idea, but didn't know if it was the smartest thing ever. "That sounds like an excellent idea. I would like that. I guess you can say, I am feeling more human that I usually do, it's very hard you know. I hope this place is fine, I heard you have been here once before," he replied, gesturing to the Italian restraunt.

I've tried many times but nothing was real make it fade away don't break me down I want to believe that this is for real save me from my fear don't turn me down
Bella looked out the window. She had to come to grips that her life was far from easy and no matter how bad she wanted it to be easy it wasn't going to be. She had a psycho vampire after her, Jacob was determined not to let her be friends with Edward. In truth she was secretly falling for the topaz eyed vampire. She was friends with a pack of vampires, oh, one can't forget the fact that she was a danger magnet! Bella looked back at Jasper when he spoke. She nodded softly. "He told me." She said softly. "But I do not mind that it is you who picked me up, you and I are not close so it gives up a chance to know on another better." She said softly. She smiled softly at him.
Bella visibly tensed when she heard him growl. She did not like that sound coming from Jasper or anyone, it make her on edge. She nodded softly. "I know that." She said. "Don't worry, he is not telling me what to do, he is just saying I shouldn't, not like I'll actually listen to him." She almost scoffed, she barely listened to her own parents, what makes anyone think she'd listen to Jacob when it meant stopping from doing something that she felt good doing was beyond her. She was friends with the Cullen's and nothing was going to change that, she would never stop being friends with them even if Jacob refused to be friends with her. She cared to much about them, and about Edward.
Bella jolted and turned looking at Jasper with a slightly shocked look on her face before it softened. She sighed and shook her head, a soft but small smile on her lips. "Forgot for a second you can read emotions... You likely saw it coming." She said as she looked out the window. "You and Alice both." She said with a chuckle. "You two really are perfect for each other." She said, still staring out at the night. She did not know how comfortable she was with people knowing her inner feelings when at times she did not even know them, but she trusted both Jasper and Alice and she knew they would not get into the issue of Edward and Bella, if indeed there was ever to be an Edward and Bella.
Bella smiled when he opened her door as she got out. "Thanks." She said softly. She nodded simply. "Yeah, Edward took me here once... It was just after I got lost looking for the book store." She swallowed hard, a slight queasy feeling sliding into her gut as she thought about the muggers that would have gotten to her had it not been for Edward. She almost unconsciously slid a little closer to Jasper, just to be sure. She chuckled as they walked into the place. "I would have liked to see that, though I bed Edward said some things that made Esme want to slap him." She said with a smile. Edward had a way of making his feelings known with profane language, it made for interesting days.
She smiled and nodded to Jasper as they took a seat in a booth. "I think we should, not just you and me but you, me, Alice, and Edward too. We could all go see a movie or something. Or on a day that Alice and Edward are busy you and I could go to the park and just talk." She said simply. She looked up at him from behind the menu and smiled softly, she was happy that she made him feel more human, he needed that. "I am glad, you're no different than me Jasper, except for the fact that you're cooler." She winked softly before ordering just some spaghetti and a glass of sprite. She handed the menu to the waitress - thankfully not the same one as before. She looked back to Jasper and smiled. "So, how do you like Forks?" She asked him softly.

You shown the world who you are. Accepted us into your world, given us a chance. A bright light, A future, A Human-like Feeling Our Guardian Angel has arrived, and she is you. Jasper looked at the menu and made a face, like he was actually going to eat. Yeah Right. He handed the menu back to the waitress and nodded her off. Turning his attention back to Bella, he smiled. "I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to make you listen to that awful noise that came out of my body. It was the thought of him actually suggesting that you stay away form us, that bothered me," he replied leaning closer on the table. The restraunt was very small and not many people were here, well that is until he saw Mike and Jessica. "Don't turn around either," he spoke softly. He fiddled with a straw in the free glass of water that the waitress had laid in front of him. He watched as the ice spun inside the glass.
When Bella talked about how cute Alice and Jasper were, he couldn't help but smile. He looked at her with his topaz eyes and smirked. "Thank you. Alice means the world to me, I don't know what I would have done with out her. She had given me hope. A new life. Sounds like a double date, Bella, are you sure you can supress being in a place with three..." he paused, looking around. He really didn't need to say the word, but instead laughed.
He watched as her food was brought over to her and made a disgusted face, then smiled. "Esme wasn't too please with the way Edward was trying to ruin Alice's fun. Alice had to get her way though, and I believe I was just a judge. Emmett enjoyed all of it, and Rosalie was always shaking her had in disapproval. It was a fun Alice's fashion show. But, now that you have come along, I might be afraid she might make you join the next one," he said sincere. He watched her eat and again made a disgusting face. How can she eat that food? I did once, but that was a long time ago. It tastes blan to me now he thought but just kept grinning.
Bella asked him about Forks and he chuckled. "Well, lets just say it isn't like any places I have lived at. If I was sensitive to the cold, I would be out of here in the heartbeat. But, I do love this place. It is very quiet, everyone knows everyone, just a very small size. Plus, everyone loves Carlisle, he is a major contribute to the society. Just like your father. What about you? How do you like Forks?" he questioned, as he licked his lips to give them a small wetness to the perfect complexion of them. He ran his large hand in his golden honey blonde hair and grinned.

Is there a place for us in this world of make believe? Can there be a reality where one person does not exist? Are we really meant to know the bonds of friendship? Or are we testing the balance of time and life itself?
She nodded to the waitress and drank some of her sprite before looking over to Jasper. "It is alright." she said with a smile. She knew he had realized his growl put her on edge. "I understand why you did, it just bothers me a little ya know? When anyone does it, not just you, or even Edward, but anyone, it means they're usually angry and I do not like that." She said with a smile as she took another sip of her sprite. "I may not be as sensitive to what people are feeling or thinking but I know some things." She said with a smile. She leaned forward softly. "Though, you being angry, or having any emotion just proves that your more human than you think." She said with a smile.
She raised a brow. "Why not?" She then leaned to the side and looked in the mirror on the far wall, getting a look at the people behind her. Nothing was unusual until a couple caught her eye. "Bugger." She muttered softly before sliding back to her normal position, though a little closer to the window so she was out of the sight of the mirror. "Well, I'll eat as fast as humanly possible." She said with a wink. When the waitress came back she nodded and started eating the spaghetti, she was eating at a normal speed with just a little quicker pace to it, not horridly so, but enough to suffice for now.
She chuckled. "Well you two are." She said wiping her mouth off with a towel. When he asked about her being with three of them she could not help but smile. "I think I can handle myself." She said with a wink before smiling brightly at his laughter, this was a good sign. She continued to eat as she listened to his story some more, not hiding her amusement with the entire situation. "So, if you were the judge, who had the best walk?" Suddenly she went white and her eyes widened. "Uh. No." She said shaking her head. "I. Don't. Do. Fashion. Shows." She said simply. She shuddered.
She nodded softly, "Well, I am glad that you like it here." She smiled. "I am glad that you're here and that we got a chance to be friends." She paused and thought for a moment as she finished the small plate of spaghetti she had gotten. She sipped more of her sprite before commenting. "I suppose it is alright. I moved here to get closer to my dad and because my mom moves a lot. I thought it was going to suck and for a little while it did, but now that I have met you and your family I really like being here. I do not know what I would have done if I had not met you guys, I love my dad but I likely would have gone mad with boredom." She said with a smile.

Do you ever wonder what would happen if it happened? Imagine becoming a monster like myself. Killing for fun, destroying innocent lives. Let me tell you, it isn't pleasant. Jasper nodded at Bella and gave out a breathless sigh, as he leaned back against the booth seat. “I know, and that is why I apologize. It was very inconsiderate, and down right rude. The person you most likely won’t hear growl as much as us is Esme. She is too sweet for her own good, but one heck of a fighter. I have trained them occassionally,” He replied quitely, and shook his head when Bella had looked through the mirror. “I hope they don’t think we are together because of this, nosey humans,” he said softly for only her to hear. Then, he busted out laughing.
“Oh really? You think because I show those kinds of emotions I am one step to being human, well if only I had a heart,” he said smiling, and quoting the move from the 1930s “The Wizard of Oz” He watched her eat as fast as she could and crossed his arms over his chest. “Do I need to time you or do you plan on choking yourself?” he questioned, watching her eat. It was amazing watching Bella eat this way, because the only way he feeds is by drinking the blood from a victim. There was no need to use a fork, well it could puncture the victim, but seriously a fork.
“So, brave, I begin to wonder if you really are human. If someone would have found out we were well you know, they would have screamed their heads off, but you sit there and just say oh cool. You are one strange human, Bella, and that is a complement,” Jasper said, returning a wink at her then grinning. He busted out laughing as soon as she began to talk about the fashion show. He couldn’t believe she was interested in this. But, Bella was a girl. Then he laughed louder than normal when she said she wasn’t into fashion shows. “Well, if you must know, Esme and Rosalie voted for Emmett. I had to agree, he was prancing around. Edward on the other hand, was sulking. I don’t think pink is his color. Oh, don’t let Alice hear that, who knows what she will do. She might just torment you because of it,” he said laughing, at the thought of Alice begging and pleading Bella to let her be the life-size Barbie doll.
He ran his long thin fingers through lucious blonde hair and smiled. The reason Bella was here was interesting to him, and well he just happened to love history. If only she knew where he was from and what he did before he became a vampire. A confederate soldier, what a great story to tell, but just not the right time. They were in public after all. “That’s very interesting, almost like my reason. But, I do know where you would be if you never met my family or myself. You would be in Jessica’s place or you would be hanging out with Jessica. Human with human. I personally would hate seeing you like you were the first day. Your emotions were very interesting that day, curious, embarassment, excited, nervous, scared, and worried. You didn’t feel your emotions change at all that did you? I tried to help you, but Edward kept giving me glares, I don’t think he wanted me involved. But, now look,” he said smiling again. He was glad to get to know Bella like this.

There are times when I fear you losing yourself around me. But when I see the look in your eyes I know you just want to help. I try to hide my worry but you see right through to the heart of me. There is nothing I can hide from you and nothing I wish to. My friend.
Bella nodded simply. "If they decide to ask what we are doing we ran into each other here in Port Angeles, you were coming into the bookstore and I was there already. We started talking and then I got hungry, I invited you but you did not want anything to eat but the conversation was amusing enough to keep you here." She said with an almost innocent smile. "We could likely throw in that you're taking me to see Edward when we're done so they get the point that there is nothing between us." She said with a wink and a smile as she put another fork-full in her mouth. "Mmm."
She chuckled simply. "Wizard of Oz. But you are no tin man my friend, you are more of a.." She thought for a moment. "Actually, that does not seem too far off." She said simply. "But your a tin man with a soft interior and even if you have no beating heart I believe there is something inside of that cold heart that still lives." She said the last sentence rather low so that no one would be able to hear her other than him. She smiled and took another bite. Bella looked up at him with a raised brow as she swallowed a mouth full of spaghetti and then flashed him an ever so [okay, not really] charming smile. "Well, if you must know I was fully intent on choking." She winked softly.
She chuckled. "I am just really weird." She said with a wink. "Things don't bother me like they do other people, I have had enough down time in my life that I should not look a gift horse in the mouth." She smiled. "You see, you can't get rid of me now... I am your friend and a friend to all of your family until I die. However soon or far off that might be is entirely negotiable of course." She muttered the last part, knowing he would understand, the whole James thing was a good reason to not know the moment she was to die or not. "But until the end, I am your friend. No matter how cliche' that sounds." She said with a soft smile before pushing the plate from her. "That was good."
She chuckled. "Well, I think if he tried he would grow to like pink." She said with a smile. "I suppose I could talk to him about it." She said. When he mentioned her being in the show for torture she went white once again. "Eek... Thanks for the warning." She said before shaking her head. "I love her to death but just because I am her friend does not mean I am her human doll." She said with a smile. "Though don't tell her that, I love her to death and I do not want to hurt her feelings." She said with a wink and a smile. "She really is a great girl and I care about her a lot, just like I care about you and the entirety of your family." She said with a light sigh of contentment.
She looked to the waitress when she came and Bella grabbed the ticket and looked to Jasper with a smile. "If you pay it is like a date and we can't have that now can we." She said with a wink and a smile before setting the ticket down and reaching for her wallet to get out a little bit of money. She nodded simply. "I likely would be, but do you hear how droll that sounds? I would much rather risk my life everyday just to be friends with your family, it is far more exciting and rewarding than just being with my own kind." She said as she smiled at him getting out her money. "The benefit far outweighs the risk in the case of friendship with you and your family." She said simply.

What an enjoyable moment. You wink, I smile, you laugh, I simmer down. I never felt so human in my life. You, too, have given me hope. Jasper leaned back in the booth letting his head fall back, as if he was looking up at the ceiling. His golden hair fell around his face, and the dim light reflected off of his too perfect skin. Out of no where, a soft chuckle escaped. He placed his hands on the table and just held onto it. He tilted his head to the side and looked back at her. A large grin had spread acrossed his face and his perfect white teeth also showing. “Becoming a mastermind by creating schemes to get out of situations, are we? I must say, Bella, you impress me. I thought I was going to be that kind of person who wouldn’t like being near you…” he leaned in closer to her. “Actually, this is the closest I have gotten to a human, a human who I could become friends with not feed from. It’s enjoyable. Maybe you will be the one to help me not be so intimidating, and want to destroy every human I can get. I once wanted to kill Jessica once, I regret that though. Her scent isn’t as nice as the others,” he said chuckling again. Jasper hoped he wasn’t scaring Bella, but just trying to make a joke out of his vampire sensations.
He smiled and pursed his lips together. When he thought about how she believes he has a heart deep inside there, its true he does the only thing is it isn’t beating. If it was Edward, he would tell her he doesn’t have a soul, and a complete disaggreement will occur between them. It was obvious, Bella happens to fight for what she believes. “Alright, so if I am the tin man, does that make Edward the cowardly lion, and Emmett the scarecrow? That makes you Dorthy…” he said laughing again. “There is no place like home,” he chuckled out. He was getting far too comfortable with Bella, it was beginning to frighten him. “Darn, you mean I am stuck with you like paper and glue. Wonderful, what can I do with you now?” he questioned, as he rubbed his hands together while getting a devious grin on his face. He winked at Bella and shook his head.
He looked at Mike and Jessica who was still watching and gave a tiny wave to let them know that he knew they were watching, then he looked back at Bella and smiled. “I do agree, you are pretty weird. I thought our family was weird, then you come along and things get weirder. Who knew,” he replied softly, just thinking of how crazy this family has become. Well, they already were bizarre, but now hosting a human girl with meals they wouldn’t normally eat, helping Edward fall in love with her more and more, it wasn’t long until she was one of them. That is if she lived through this James thing, and Jasper knew she would because if he had to; him and Alice would kill the monster for her. He has done it many times before, and it wouldn’t bother him to do it again. Well, maybe just a little it might.
Jasper placed his elbow on the table and looked up at the ceiling. His chin rested in the cup of his hand and he looked like a magnificent statue, just thinking. What was he thinking about? It happened to be Edward, his brother, dressed in pink. He could not see Edward really enjoying the color pink. Jasper snapped back to reality and looked at Bella. “Nah, I don’t think Edward would really like pink even if you tried to convince him to wear it. You won’t believe how sensitive he gets when it comes to dealing with that. It’s complaint after complaint, and it doesn’t get very pretty. His foul language can be a drag, if you know what I mean,” he said getting disgusted at the thought of Edward in Pink. Nasty.
He watched carefully as the waitress brought over the ticket, and of course the waitress was eyeing him. He gave her a sincere smile and turned back to Bella. Somehow this woman was releasing some strong feelings. Feelings that were becoming very intimidately jealous. This waitress must have been the same waitress that served Bella and Edward weeks before. He watched Bella pay for the meal, and he knew that he was going to have to slip the money back into her purse. His family had enough, compared to Bella, and that was the only nicest thing he could do. “Again, you are very strange. But, I am glad you enjoy hanging out with you. Even though this is are completely first session together. Edward does seem to be a hog sometimes, I am pretty sure you would have a blast with Emmett and myself. We tend to have a good time. Maybe you can even wrestle Emmett, we can make sure he goes easy on you,” Jasper said, as he gave Bella a wink. He smiled at her and looked at the time.

When we talk it is like you are human again. I know you are eternal and I know you are timeless. But when you're with me you are just the same as I am. Except your beauty is limitless...
Bella blinked for a few moments as she looked at him. She then cleared her throat and raised a brow. "You know, people are staring." She said simply, motioning to the waitress who was gawking at his beauty. She shook her head and put her hand on her forehead and sighed. "I can't take you anywhere!" She whispered harshly before shooting him a cute smile and a wink. She smiled ever so innocently when he commented about her being a mastermind. "Well, I try." She said giving a little hair flick, acting as though it came naturally. She leaned a little closer to and titled her head to the side. "This is not the closest I have been to a vampire because, well, you know." She winked. She meant the fact that her and Edward had kissed on few occasions, though she was not sure if he actually knew or not. "I wanted to slap her when I first met her, she was way too giggly for me to meet my first day here." She smiled softly. "I hope I can Jasper, I really do." She was a little nervous about his talk but she knew it was all in jest so she was calmed after only a few seconds.
She chuckled and nodded. "Yeah!! And Alice could totally pull of those little munchkins... They are so ecstatic all the time." She thought for a moment. "Carlisle would be Oz... Esme would totally be Glenda the good Witch and Rosalie..." She stopped for a moment. "My first thought would have to be the Wicked Witch," She paused and flushed softly. "But she could pull off the poppies." She said with another innocent smile. Bella then looked to the side a little and leaned forward. "Mike could be Toto." She bit her lip and leaned back, trying so hard to mask the obvious amusement at that statement. He was like a golden retriever, it was hilariously annoying at times. She smiled softly when he commented on 'no place like home'. Bella nodded softly. "Yeah, and for once, Forks is starting to feel like home." She whispered to him softly. "Thanks to you and your family, and Edward. Thanks so much for making me feel like I was home." She said kindly. She raised a brow. "What are you going to do with me?" She chuckled. "Watch me closely, I'll find a way to fall or get hurt and you'll have an amusing story to tell." She leaned back. "Bella was standing on the floor and it tripped her. Bella ran into a parked car. Bella got hit by a parked car. Possibilities are endless." She teased.
She opened her mouth in faux shock. "That was mean." She said as she leaned forward and pushed his shoulder softly with on hand, like she was mad. "I am not that weird! Jeez!!" Then she thought about it. She was friends with a vampire family living in a town that has the most rain in the country, with almost no direct sunlight ever and she just happened to have a mini fan club of guys but the one guy she wanted more than anything just happened to be a vampire and she just happened to slowly be falling head over heals for him. She looked back at Jasper and nodded, adding a shrug moments later. "Okay, so I am that weird, what does it matter, if I wasn't I likely would not be friends with you and then where would we be? Likely both miserable. You because you don't have any human friends and me because I am moody and uncharismatic yet I have a stupid fan club of boys none of which I want, desperately trying to find some happiness in a place where none can be found." She rested her hands on the table and smiled. "See, we need each other." She said with a bright smile. "You need me to keep you sane and I need you and your family to let me know that going insane is alright."
Bella watched him again with crossed arms. "You're doing that 'I'm too good looking' thing again Jasper, more people are staring... And I think you just gave the waitress a heart attack." She said simply. There was a captivation she had for Jasper, but that was simply because he was so indescribably beautiful, whereas she was far from it, everyone was like that with him and his family. With Edward, the feeling went far deeper than looks. She felt things for him she had never felt. Bella swallowed softly and sighed a little, thinking about him was making her want to be with him more and that was difficult to mask. She wanted him to care for her the way she cared for him, but she could not figure out if he was just staying close to her because he felt it was his fault for James or because he really cared for her. She looked down and back up when Jasper spoke. "Well, maybe purple is he color." She said with a shrug. "Or teal... Avocado? Maybe beige.." She chuckled. "Maybe."
Bella watched Jasper's smile and she raised a brow. She looked over and realized that it was the same waitress. She smirked and did one of those finger wriggle waves before turning back to Jasper. "She was the same waitress that served Edward and I, he made her stutter, it was rather amusing." She snickered softly. "You should have seen the hostess who seated us, I told him he should really stop dazzling people like that and then commented on the fact that the poor girl was likely hyperventilating in the kitchen not moments after she left." She smiled brightly when he commented on the hanging out part but she frowned when he spoke of wrestling. "With my track record, I think I'll just referee." She said with a simple smile. "Last thing I need is going home looking like a train wreck and having to explain to Charlie that I was wrestling. That or end up in the hospital, I break easier than you all do." She said with a wink before she look at the time as well. "We should get going soon shouldn't we?" She asked, a little disappointed, she was enjoying her time with Jasper, it was better than she would have expected.

Humanity is something I crave for. Something that I want to have, but never will. You long for acceptance, and you recieve it. I accept you, you accept me. Which is somewhat insane. But, even if our species is completely different. You always make me feel more human than I have ever felt in a long time. Jasper grinned at her before looking around to see many people staring at them. Well, mostly him, he knew he was good looking and all the girls considered him and his brothers the best looking guys; followed by Mike Newton. He saw a few of the girls turn their heads away when he made eye contact with them all, but then turned back to Bella. “It’s great being able to watch these girls get all giddy on me. It’s almost as fun as watching you get all freakishly shy when Edward looks or even talks to you. It’s just great. “ he replied, as he saw her wink again. This made him laugh, if only he made a dime after every time she winked at him, he would be rich. But, money didn’t matter; he had enough as it was. Even though he doesn’t have his own car. Pathetic that everyone has one, besides him, Alice, and Esme. “Doesn’t everyone want to slap Jessica, I mean look at her,” he said, before pretending to be her. “Like Oh-M-Gee, did you see Edward today? He was like SO hot. Bella, we need to hang out more. It’s so fun having a girl’s night out. How about the mall this weekend?” he said flipping his golden locks and batting his eyelashes. He busted out laughing. “That’s my impersonation of Jessica.”
He leaned his head against his hand and smiled. The thought of his family as the characters from the 1930’s movie “The Wizard of Oz” was kind of weird, but it actually made sense. He nodded as he listened to her analogy of each character, until she paused at Rosalie. He grinned and covered his mouth because deep down Rosalie was a witch. “It’s okay; you can say that Rose is the Wicked Witch. I am only her brother; even Emmett would get a chuckle out of it. Rose means well, she just has a spicy attitude towards life. Her life story is kind of interesting, but it’s not my story to tell. But, I agree if we needed a wicked witch to finish the group, she would pass as one. Then again, I might have to call on Lauren Mallory; she sure is giving you a hard time. Right?” he questioned softly. “Mike Newton is a dog. He is always trying to get your attention, and be your companion… something a dog would do. He is perfect for Toto. His little goons and group could, uh, well never mind them,” he said smiling. He ran his hand through his hair again and took a breathless inhale in. “It’s no big deal. We went through the same thing two years ago from moving down from Alaska, but we were never accepted into a group. Always like outcasts, but we had each other and that’s the best thing there is,” he said leaning against the table. “I could do that it would be very funny. You are pretty klutzy. Now, running into a park car would be hilarious,” he smirked as he looked at the clock.
Jasper raised an eyebrow at her getting kind of defensive against his interrogation of her being weird, which he knew he was right. He always was right, well that was with Alice’s help for the most part, and occasionally Edward. But, he was right. “Yes, Bella, you are pretty weird. Where would I be without you, hmmm, I could be up in Carlisle’s loft and reading some history book, something I do a lot. Especially, since we really didn’t talk to many humans. You are moody, and that is the reason why I always have to use my ability on you. It grew on me to just use it as soon as I see you. Well, I must say, you do have a large fan club of guys. But, I do notice you are a fan of another club,” he said leaning in, “the bloodsucker club. You and a bunch of girls were a fan of Edward, but it looks like you will be the only acceptance in our family. You silly, klutzy, moody, weird girl,” he said smiling softly.
He laughed and leaned back in his chair with his arms at the nape of his neck. “I was, was I? I don’t believe I do that, I think its Emmett and Edward. But, I do have the charm not sounding so cocky about it. Oh, that girl will be fine; she doesn’t know me to well. Plus, I have a girl already. She happens to be camping out with Edward tonight,” he said smiling, thinking of his true love; Alice. If he had an actual heart pumping right now, Bella would be able to hear it. Alice always made him like this; there was something special about her that he loved. Well, he loved everything about Alice. No denying that. He changed his train of thought back to the subject that he and Bella were talking about. He loved just imagining his brothers in pink, it was funny to him. “Hmmm. I don’t know about that, but I think his favorite color might be blue or navy. He loves it when you where it, “he said smiling softly. It didn’t surprise him, though. He already knew Edward was head over heels for Bella.
Jasper glanced at the waitress one last time before turning to Bella. He saw out of the corner of his eye as the waitress looked at Bella. He wanted to burst out laughing, when he saw Bella wave at her. “You don’t say. Edward told me that there was a waitress who was hyperventilating when he was watching and talking to you, but he didn’t notice. Alice did though, in her visions,” he said smiling. He imagined Bella being in the hospital again because of wrestling Emmett. “You are right, maybe just watching would be better, until it was time,” he slipped out. Alice had seen her being changed into a vampire, but he really didn’t want to get her hopes up. Jasper glanced back at the clock, as he laid a five on the table for the tip. “Yeah, let’s get going. I don’t want to get snapped at by Edward or even your father. Unless, you want to call your father and tell him Alice wants you to stay over. It’s all up to you,” he said getting up from the booth and lifting his arms over his head, acting like he is stretching.
